This year's visit to the school was a busy one. We gave the students a tour of the apparatus and then answered any questions they had about them, watched a fire-safety video that stressed having two escape plans from home in the event of a fire and -- the favorite of *many* of the kids -- showed them what it's like in a smoke-filled room by "smoking out" one of the schoolrooms with a special training smoke we use to simulate a real fire's smoky conditions.
