The Port Matilda Fire Company takes a great deal of pride and devotes itself to serving the community with modern and well equipped apparatus. Keep in mind that the average cost for a new Fire Engine Pumper is $400,000.00. One SCBA (Self Contained Breathing Apparatus) costs $5,200.00. A set of fire gear (pants, coat, helmet, boots, gloves, nomex hood) costs $2,500.00. One pager to alert the member of a call is $385. Our volunteers spend many unselfish hours away from home raising funds to keep our equipment updated to serve you better.
