We are always recruiting individuals who are interested in volunteering their time to serve the community. Our membership is divided into three distinct categories to fit your individual needs:
- Active Member:
This category allows the individual to fight fires, hold elected offices, complete fire training, and participate in all fund raising activities. Must be at least 18 years old. - Social Member:
This category allow the member to assist the fire company with fund raising events. - Junior Fire Fighter:
This allows 14-17 year olds to join the Fire Company and participate in limited events consistent with applicable state and local laws.

The mission of the Port Matilda Fire Company is to respond in a safe manner to all reported emergencies in the communities of the Port Matilda Borough, Worth Township, Huston Township, Halfmoon Township and Taylor Township. The Company will help the citizens deal with natural and man-made emergencies with the resources available and with the utmost regard for the safety of the members of the Company. The Company will work to the best of its abilities to limit the loss of life, the environment, and property. |
Anyone interested in joining the our organization can obtain a membership application by visiting the Fire Hall (meetings are the 4th Monday of every month), calling 814-692-4074 or using the online version of our application to create a printable form (will not email).
Available training opportunities are posted at the Fire Hall and announced at regular meetings.
